On February 3 and 4, 2025, 15 people from MICHELIN's corporate crisis unit came to IMT Mines Alès for crisis management training. Developed by the Laboratoire des Sciences des Risques, this training course was partly run in collaboration with Cedre, ES2 and Riscrises.

The course was divided into two phases, each marked by increasingly complex scenarios.

The first immersion in the Cit'in Crise system enabled participants to rework, in groups and experientially, certain fundamental elements of crisis management.

The second took place in the Simulcrise high-fidelity simulator.  The immersive and realistic simulation, based on a dynamic scenario and an animation team supported by Michelin Group personnel, enabled the concepts and key elements identified the day before to be reactivated and deepened. In particular, the scenario required not only an assessment of the impact of an accident situation and the associated emergency management, but also the implementation of an anticipation strategy to ensure that the company's public service mission was maintained over different timeframes.

Each of these exercises was followed by a debriefing phase, which identified the strong points and the elements to be reinforced in order to continue preparing management teams for critical situations.

“We are delighted to have been able to support Michelin in strengthening their teams' crisis management practices. We would like to thank them for their confidence and for the quality of the discussions we had over the two days”, say Aurélia Bony and Jérôme Tixier, organizers of the training session.
